Yes. AI use is covered by our Business Associate Agreement, and patient data is protected in several ways:

• Each practice’s data stays separate; no other practice’s data ever reaches its AI
• Patient identifiers protected on every AI request
• Full audit logging of every AI request and response
• No training on customer data — your conversations don't improve anyone else's model

Yes. AI can be turned off for the whole practice or feature by feature, for example billing AI on and clinical AI off. Everything else in XEHR works fully without it.

Pay as you go, with no base fee: $25 per 100,000 tokens (a token is roughly a word processed), or discounted bundles. Usage is tracked per organization and visible at any time. See the pricing page.

No — the AI is assistive, never autonomous for clinical or billing finalization. Provider review and signature is required to lock a clinical note. Biller review is required to submit a claim. The AI proposes, the human disposes.

A general chatbot does not know your patients, your payers or your practice’s setup, and is not covered by a BAA with you. The XEHR AI works inside your own records, follows your configuration, records every action and waits for your approval.

Yes. The draft follows the right structure for the specialty and visit type, from behavioral health to therapy to primary care, and templates can be adjusted per provider.
